    Very interesting concept for food. Food takes awhile to come out, portion isn't the biggest for the price (a bow of pho is $25) I guess you're paying for the creativity. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, definitely a place to bring friends/family who are visiting from out of town.

    Quick service, friendly waiters. Food was good and parking was easy to navigate. Typically prefer a beef shank and rare steak in pho, but the shredded beef was a pleasant surprise. Rin-Tei had a chill atmosphere.

    It's 2 years old restaurant located end of the busy strip of San Mateo downtown. Absolutely beautiful modern clean Asian inspired design interior welcomes you with bright light on a summer day. I'd say the food is fusion between Thai and Japanese cuisine. They have couple of options for vegetarians too. If you eat beef then I am sure you'll be in treat for their broth/soups. Food is mild with salt on the lesser side (nothing wrong about it just thought of mentioning) I was in love with their dessert spoon Food was delicious, freshly made and served with kindness. The service here is average speed so you get to enjoy your meal without being rushed into finishing your plate. They also helped me pack the left over, as I am sure I would have made a mess. I would definitely recommend this spot especially for a date brunch.

    Dined at Rin-Tei three times now and tried both lunch and dinner menu. I can safely say this place is one of my top go tos for a filling meal! Beef pho- Meat was tender, and pieces were large Lots of noodles but slightly al dente Kra pao shrimp- Rice was very flavorful. The egg is always a plus! Shrimp is slightly salty on its own, but the rice balances it out Food 4.8 Service 5 Space 5 Price 4.5 Wait time: none (all three times) Parking: meter parking right in front of the restaurant
